Road trip to Venus

Arguably one of the most memorable events in recent years was the Transit of Venus on June 5, 2012. Our sister planet crossed the face of the Sun for the last time this Century! Not to happen again for another 117 years! Needless to say the weather in our old homestead was shaky at best and not to miss literally a once in a lifetime event, my son Ben and I drove northwest for 5 1/2 hours to an area on the south shore of Lake Ontario where there wasn’t a cloud in the sky and where we could witness the spectacle from the beginning!

Here is a link to images we took of the Transit http://www.flickr.com/photos/astrodoc71/sets/72157630007907993/
